Welcome to OMNIARK | K-Beauty Road Map
I'm Jun Mi Jung. I live in Gwangju, South Korea — and I'm proud of it.
This blog didn't start as a business plan. It started with embarrassment.
I watched foreign visitors come to my country — people who genuinely loved Korea, who trusted us — and I watched some clinics and brands treat them like walking ATMs. Inflated prices. Promises that no product could ever keep. The gap between the marketing and the reality was breaking my heart.
Here's something I want to be clear about: Korean products are, for the most part, genuinely good. Even the affordable ones. That said — only when you choose the right product for your skin type. The problem isn't the products. It's the exaggerated claims layered on top of them. This distinction matters, because if you get lost in the noise — the drama PPL placements, the idol skin obsession — and dismiss K-Beauty entirely, you'll miss something truly worth finding.
I know this from the inside. I've made my own shampoos, skincare creams, and face masks — for myself and my family. I was never a perfect expert, but starting this blog pushed me to go deeper. And what I found is this: Koreans are far more ingredient-conscious than most people realize. Knowing what goes on your skin isn't a trend here — it's just daily life.
Last year I visited Jeju Island's carbonated mineral springs with my mother and sister. For weeks afterwards, my skin was genuinely transformed. That's not marketing. That's what Korea actually has. There are so many hidden things like this here — and I want to bring all of them to you under the name K-Beauty.
Some things I'll know from personal experience. Some from word of mouth, a friend's recommendation, local reputation, or Korean media — online, TV, and social. What I won't do is tell you "this is the answer" or "that is the answer." Every person is different. What I will do is give you the most honest information I can find — and let you use it to figure out what works best for you. That's what I'm preparing for you.
OMNIARK exists for the people who love Korea and its culture. I want to give you something real. Not the overpriced tourist version. The real Korea.
This is a work in progress — and so is Korea's beauty story. I'll keep digging. Come back often.
